The theme of this year’s nominations could be taken in a number of ways, but when you look at the contenders up for all-powerful Album of the Year category, one thing is certain: it’s the year of the underdogs and the newcomers.
“I don’t think there’s one thing that we can’t do now that we did before. We’re always on tour, so nothing’s changed really. We just play gigs all the time,” Marcus Mumford said.

A much more harrowing tale than expected from the uptempo song, but punctuated with a performance by British actor Idris Elba.
Mumford & Sons acknowledged the history of the venue and their fellow Brits, the Beatles, who made their debut there way back in 1964. And the banter didn’t end there.
Listen below to the new song from Mumford & Sons “I Will Wait,” from the breakout folk band’s hugely anticipated second album Babel, that premiered Tuesday afternoon.
Bassist Ted Dwayne said that the band’s hectic tour schedule over recent years took a toll on their personal lives, but added inspiration to the album.
Mumford & Sonsare set to hit the road in August, likely debuting songs from their upcoming album, out September 24.
The tour marks the band’s official return to the U.S. and will include four stopover shows that will set up camp in multiple cities for all day long events.
Mumford & Sons will release their sophomore album on September 24th, as announced from the stage by keyboardist and vocalist Ben Lovett at the Pinkpop Festival in the Netherlands this weekend.
