Urban confirmed the news with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday (April 3).

“I got Pitbull, and Carrie’s on the record — Carrie Underwood’s on there, as well,” Urban said.

So what exactly does an Urban and Pitbull collaboration sound like? Urban explained.

“The song we wrote is called ‘Sun Don’t Let Me Down.’ Just needing a few more hours of night to seal the deal so don’t come up sun, stay right where you are. That’s the gist of the song,” Urban explained. “Who better than the sexy swagger of Pitbull to seal the deal? He was killer on it. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Urban was hand in hand with wife Nicole Kidman on the red carpet, who gave her seal of approval on the song.

“I’ve definitely danced to that one,” she said.

Urban’s Ripcord will be released on May 6.
