WATC Volunteer Goes Above And Beyond With Donation

It’s incredible to see so many donations coming in for for We Are The Children, making the biggest party on Christmas Day in the country for children possible. There is such an amazing outpouring of support every year that it’s sometimes hard to be surprised by the selflessness of the people in Connecticut, but that’s exactly what Lisa Pinter has done!

Lisa — already giving her time on Christmas Day as a volunteer — dropped off over 1,000 (!!!!) hand crocheted stockings at the station. That will assure that all the children attending the party will go home with their own unique stocking to hang up at home, wherever that may be.

Making all of the stockings took three years as Lisa battled through multiple challenges, including a period of time when she was blind!

Craig and Company chatted with her about this extraordinary donation.

If you want to volunteer or make a donation, call the We Are The Children hotline: 860-677-KIDS.
