This season of American Idol has pared the contestants down to the Top 5, but something’s different– one of those Top 5 is Nick Fradiani, hailing from Guilford, CT! The Idol hopeful spoke about his experience with Craig and Company… Check it out!
Nick Fradiani from Guilford is missing home, for sure, but he’s been having the experience of a lifetime as he made his way to the Top 5 on the current season of American Idol. Whether he makes it through the next round on the show, he’ll be heading home either way… But he’s hoping he will still be in the competition. “Usually it’s been Top 3 that goes home and does the parade and plays the show. But this year, because of the way they’re doing the results, it’s gonna be the top four who go home,” he explained. “I’m really hoping I can make this next cut so I can go home.”
The aspiring artist feels the Idol experience has changed his outlook as a musician already. “I was a songwriter so I always wrote my own songs. I always felt it was not cool to be playing other people’s music,” he admitted. “The show upped my vocals– I learned to work on my vocals a lot more– and also connecting to other people’s songs, learning how to make another song your own. Overall, the show has been amazing.”
Fradianai will be back on this week’s episode of American Idol, and he teased what artists he will be singing in the latest round. “I’m singing a Matchbox Twenty song and a Rascal Flatts song,” he hinted. “Connecticut has been so supportive, that’s been the coolest part of all– people of the hometown getting behind me and showing their support.”
