Fashion Faux Pas are always a thing– there are some things no one should ever do, yet we tend to do them anyway, so to help simplify your good style choices, Debbie has wrangled up a list of the top Summertime fashion faux pas. Read on for more!
1. Socks with Sandals
The ultimate offense– Dads tend to do this– and it’s a huge mistake.
2. Low-slung Trousers
This is a lot less prevalent than it once was, but Debbie wants to caution young men– please don’t wear that look. It’s inappropriate, tacky and just doesn’t look good. let’s wear our pants at our actual waist, okay?
3. Velour Tracksuits
When it gets a little chilly at the beach at night, these suits still come out of the closet, but it’s time to let them go. If they have writing on the butt, they’re an absolute no-no. Transition the velour tracksuit to some leggings and a boyfriend cardigan. Look cute, look modern and be fashionable.
4. Crop Tops
Crop tops were big in the 80s, and they’ve come back in style… but they can easily become a fashion faux pas. Be mindful with how you wear them– try a high waisted pant or skirt, so only a very little portion of the belly is shown.
5. The Fanny Pack
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was caught rocking the fanny pack, and not even he could pull it off. There are thoughts out there that this thing will come back in style, but Debbie believes there are more fashionable options, such as the cross-body bag with a long strap to keep you hands-free yet fully functional.
