It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!

There’s a bunch of new movies out this week, so whether you’re in the mood for a comedy or a fantasy, or a drama, there’s something for you!  And Sam Hatch has the inside scoop on which ones are worth checking out… Read on for more!

Russell Crowe stars as the guy who builds an ark and puts animals on it to save the day.  Jennifer Connelly and Emma Watson co-star in this new take on the Biblical tale, which features some breathtaking effects.  It’s totally worth checking out.

The Other Woman

Cameron Diaz plays an attorney who discovers her boyfriend (one of the dudes from Game of Thrones) is married, so she hooks up with his wife (Leslie Mann) and another mistress (Kate Upton) to get revenge on this triple-timer.

Cuban Fury

This comedy stars Nick frost, Rashida Jones and Chris O’Dowd– a  lot of good people in this one– and it’s about a guy who was in the Junior Salsa Championship, who needs to reclaim his former glory as a Salsa Champion.  It’s cool!

1 Chance 2 Dance

Here’s another dancing movie, this one about a 17 year old dancer.

The Protector 2

Here’s a new action movie from Thailand.  Protector 2 is the latest from martial arts star Tony Jaa, who is amazing to watch for his action alone.

Without Warning

This 1980 cult classic stars Martin Landau and Jack Palance, and it’s basically Predator, way before Predator was a thing.  An alien comes to hunt humans in a campground for a weekend.  This is the first time, ever this movie has been on home video release.

Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery

The coolest release of the week! This 10-disc Blu Ray mega-set has every episode– including two different versions of the pilot episode– along with the movie and 90 minutes of deleted scenes.  It’s a killer box set, but it’s the perfect gift for the Twin Peaks fan in your life.
