When it comes to fitness, we can all use a helping hand, and now there are some really cool virtual helpers in the form of trackers and apps for your smart phone or tablet. Carolyn has the whole rundown on these great fitness tracking helpers!
1. Fitbit and Jawbone
These have been out for a while, but they have multiple types of applications when it comes to tracking your health and fitness. It will even track your sleep patterns, which is pretty cool!
This app records your sleep patterns by measuring your sleep environment– noise pollution, temperature and light– through a wireless pad that you sleep on. It also provides light and sound progressions to help you fall asleep and take you into a deeper REM sleep.
3. Map My Run
This GPS guide is cool you can use when going for a run, walk, jog or hike. It displays your miles traveled, calories burned and all that good stuff.
This savvy sun protector will tell you how much UVA exposure you are getting and advises you on when to protect yourself with covering layers, sunscreen or shade. It’s $299 but it’s a very cool app.
5. Carolyn’s Menu of Life
