A sold-out Taylor Swift concert in Thailand has been canceled following a military coup last week in the country.
According to CBS News, Swift and her camp canceled the concert, which would have occurred June 9 in the country’s capital of Bangkok, today (May 27), with promoter BEC-Tero announcing on its website that the show was nixed due to “recent events in Thailand.”
The promoter added that the option to cancel was a “difficult decision for all parties.”
Swift tweeted that she was “sending all my love to the fans in Thailand,” and that she was “so sad about the concert being canceled.”[tweet https://twitter.com/taylorswift13/status/471167368081997824]
