Sam Hatch’s DVD Picks For The Week: The Worst Movie Week Ever

It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!

Sorry movie buffs, but this week’s new video releases could very well represent the WORST WEEK EVER.  Get the full run down from our movie guy, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs!

Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Neighbors From Hell

This is the big release of the week (seriously)… and it’s not even a movie version– this is a video of the play being performed live on stage.

Scream Park

This horror flick stars the guy who played Pinhead in Hellraiser as the owner of an amusement park who hires a group of maniacs to invade his closing park to motivate people to come back.

The Suspect

This bank robbery showdown movie stars Mekhi Phifer.

This cool flick came out in the 70s, from the makers of The Exorcist and The French Connection.  Roy Scheider stars as a trucker who needs to move a load of nitro glycerin across deadly roads.  It sounds magical, but has nothing to do with fantasy whatsoever.

The Hooping Life

For all of you just dying to see a documentary film about hula hooping.  Hey– Shaquille O’Neal is in it, too!  Apparently not only does he play hoops, but he’s a hula hoop aficionado.

Empire of the Apes

This movie is about a bunch of girls that travel to the future and crash on a planet filled with apes (sound familiar?)

Chances Are

The 25th Anniversary edition of the classic comedy starring Robert Downey Jr and Cybill Shepherd.  It was actually a cute movie.

Evan Rachel Wood and Scott Speedman star in this rom-com about a kid from a wealthy family who falls for a psychiatric patient.
