Last week, Courtney Love told the world she’d reunited Hole, circa the Celebrity Skin line-up of Eric Erlandson, Patty Schemel and Melissa Auf der Mauer. In a new interview with The Telegraph, Love is already back pedaling on that statement.
“We may have made out but there is no talk of marriage,” Love said of the reunion. “It’s very frail, nothing might happen, and now the band are all flipping out with me.”
So it’s not quite a no, but certainly not a signed-sealed-delivered deal quite yet.
Hole will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their landmark album Live Through This on April 12. Of her body of material, apart from her solo album America’s Sweetheart, Love says, “I can stand behind it 100 percent. And if you don’t like it, you’re the idiot.”
In the interview, Love revealed she will not be releasing the ghostwritten autobiography she’s been under contract to produce. Unhappy with the results, Love said, “It’s like me jacked on coffee and sugar in a really bad mood. I said [to publisher Harper Collins] keep your bloody money. I’d rather keep my friends.”
