A guy who plays for the Mets named Daniel Murphy had to miss the first game of the season, because his wife had a baby on Opening Day.

And he missed the second game too, just to be with his wife and the new baby.

And Boomer Esiason criticized him for deciding to stay home.  He actually said Murphy should have forced his wife to SCHEDULE A C-SECTION, to make sure the baby arrived before the season started.

ARE YOU F***ING KIDDING ME BOOMER? What decade are you living in? Let me get this straight. You’d rather see the wife and baby PUT IN JEOPARDY by scheduling an unnecessary surgery just so this guy can PLAY BASEBALL? Gee, he only has 162 games to play so missing 2 is REALLY BAAAAD.

Surgery is dangerous. Natural childbirth is safer than a c-section ANY DAY. In fact, that’s why it’s reserved for an EMERGENCY. Opening Day IS NOT AN EMERGENCY.

And aside from that, there is PATERNITY LEAVE for a reason. It’s the law. Stop making men feel like s**t for wanting to be there for their wife and kids.

I can’t tell you how pissed off this makes me. Hearing cavemen like Boomer speak on subjects he has zero knowledge on is just infuriating. Hey Boomer, stick to what you know and shut the f**k up about the rest.

Play ball!
