It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!

This week is good for kids, it’s good for adults, it’s good for everyone!  Get the inside scoop with our movie expert Sam Hatch!

American Hustle

This was nominated for a ton of awards and it’s got a killer cast– Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams and even our own Gray Craig!

Frozen

Disney’s latest made a jillion dollars, has a musical in the pipeline, and won an Oscar for it’s best song.  It’s killer stuff for the whole family.

Saving Mr. Banks

Tom Hanks stars as Walt Disney, in the real story about how he wanted to adapt Mary Poppins into a movie.  But the author– played by Emma Thompson– has no interest in his vision.

Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom

This biopic on Nelson Mandela stars Idris Elba, one of Sam’s favorite new actors, and it’s a compelling story of this man’s amazing life.

Kill Your Darlings

Daniel Radcliffe (AKA Harry Potter) and a great cast star in this movie about the beat poets of the 50s and 60s.

Reasonable Doubt

Here’s a straight to video Sam Jackson movie!  It stars Dominic Cooper playing a lawyer and Jackson is a guy who found a body and was charged with a murder.  The lawyer thinks Jackson must be innocent, because he keeps staring and swearing at him… it’s like A Time To Kill, but not.

Slumber Party Massacre

The classic slasher movie is coming out on Blu Ray for the first time ever.  If you’re in the mood for something a little scary and a lot campy, this is your movie!

Hidden Fortress

The film that inspired Star Wars is being re-released.  this old Japanese adventure film is totally worth a look, and the new Blu Ray release is very nice.

Sharkproof

Poor Jon Lovitz stars in this comedy about two dudes who invent a shark-proof wetsuit and get embroiled in a crime syndicate.
