Believe it or not, singer-songwriter Lorde actually has a pretty significant connection to American sports despite being from New Zealand. Turns out, her hit song “Royals” was inspired by a picture of Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer George Brett.

Now can we start wondering if Lorde was singing her song “Team” about the Chicago Bulls?

Well, probably not. But she did attend the Bulls game against the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night and decided to live-tweet the action. Or at least wondering how the rest of the people in the arena handle the action.

If any of the Bulls and Thunder players were wondering, Lorde appreciates your effort!

None of Lorde’s tweets detailed much of what the players were doing, but the same wasn’t the case for the halftime entertainment.

When the singer was put on the big video screens in the arena, her band members turned it into their own personal Kiss Cam.

If nothing else, Lorde has shown all other pop stars how to properly live-tweet a sporing event when you really don’t care about the final score. Maybe we can get her to come out to a Hartford Wolf Pack game next time she comes through Hartford!
