Following his breakup with Katy Perry, John Mayer has been making headlines for his personal life and not his music. But last night (Feb. 27) he returned to the stage as the John Mayer Trio for a gig on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
For trio’s first TV performance in five years, they performed “After Midnight,” the 1966 song which was made famous by Eric Clapton in 1970.
Special guests Chick Corea, trumpet player Wallace Roney and drummer Manolo Badrena joined the Trio, made up of Mayer, bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Steve Jordan.
