Demi Lovato Talks Neon Lights Tour Backstage at The GRAMMY Awards
Damon Scott and Gina J caught up with Demi Lovato backstage at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles! The “Neon Lights” singer is gearing up for a big year ahead, hitting the road for one of the most highly anticipated tours of 2014!
The twenty-eight show Neon Lights Tour kicks off February 9th in Vancouver, and includes a stop at the Oakdale Theatre in Connecticut for back-to-back shows on March 8th and 9th. Demi is putting the finishing touches on the preparations for the tour, including rocking a new pink hairstyle, which she recently unveiled on Twitter. “I wanted to change because of the New Year, and I was tired of the blue,” she explained. “I had been wanting to do pink for a really long time, so I did it!”
Demi hinted that those attending should expect a visual spectacle.
“My tour is really, really exciting. I’ve never put on a tour like this,” she said. “I am shooting a bunch of video content for it tomorrow. My tour is going to kind of follow a storyline and be more theatrical… It’s kind of like what Beyoncé did for her music videos, I am kind of doing that throughout the show. I have never been more excited for a tour in my life, so hopefully, people love it too!”
Demi Lovato’s fans enjoyed watching her as a judge on The X Factor for the past two seasons, although last month she confirmed she won’t be returning to the show in 2014. When asked if she ever plans on returning to the show, she replied, “It was a great experience, a good run, but I am done.”
In addition to her music career, Demi has also had success as an actress and an author… Damon asked if there was anything she is not good at.
“I would say that I am not good at math, but when I was in school I actually did Algebra and Algebra 2 in one month,” she answered. “I am not good at sports! I suck at sports… I am not even good at track!”
The 56th Annual Grammy Awards air on CBS on Sunday, Jan 26th at 8pm!
