Gina J’s Dirty Laundry December 6, 2013
The world says goodbye to Nelson Mandela… and Carrie Underwood’s The Sound of Music says hello to some MAJOR ratings. Plus, the return of Brian on Family Guy (already) and more in today’s Dirty Laundry!
Former South African President Nelson Mandela – famous for his fight to end the racist policy of apartheid – died yesterday at the age of 95. The screening of the Mandela biopic happened yesterday in London and his daughter’s were there when they were told of his passing. The audience, including Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, learned of Mandela’s death during the closing credits.
And Paris Hilton is upset because someone put out a fake tweet where she allegedly said:
“RIP Nelson Mandela. Your ‘I Have A Dream’ speech was so inspiring.”
Mixed reviews on NBC’s The Sound of Music Live! last night with Carrie Underwood. BUT huge ratings!!! 18.5 million viewers beating every other program on television last night. Great singing from Carrie but not so great acting… even the real life Von Trapp family was upset because they wanted Anne Hathaway.
Ice-T’s wife Coco is breaking into the toy business… that would be the sex toy business. It will reflect her personality. She is involved with the entire process, from packaging to the promotional strategy.
‘NSync’s Joey Fatone, has a new gig. He’s endorsing Bosley… and is in the infomercial for the “hair restoration expert.”
Amanda Bynes has enrolled as a student at FIDM — the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising — registering under an alias for 2 classes at the Orange County campus.
She will be escorted to and from her classes.
Paul Walker will be remembered by thousands with a huge car rally near the spot where Walker and Roger Rodas died. More than 20,000 people are expected to show up. And two men were arrested for allegedly stealing parts of the Porsche Paul Walker died in. The car was being towed and when the tow truck stopped at a light they stole parts of it but they were caught.
Brian is coming back!! That would be Family Guy’s talking dog Brian that was killed off the other week. Over 128,000 people signed a petition and he’s return to the December 15th episode. Stewie gets a Christmas wish… but it’s not certain how he will return.
