It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!

Whether you’re a comic book geek, an angsty tween or a little kid, there’s something for just about everyone this week… Get all the latest home video releases from our resident movie expert, Sam Hatch!

The Wolverine

The latest in the X-Men movie series is a BIG improvement over Wolverine: Origins (the last solo movie to feature the mutant hero).  No origins this time, and no X-Men– it’s just Wolverine hanging out in Japan fighting gangsters.

The Smurfs 2

Neil Patrick Harris and Hank Azaria are back in this animated sequel… at least it’s good for the kids.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones

The first in what might be a series of Young Adult book adaptations, but unlike The Hunger Games or Harry Potter, this time– nobody really cares.  Our heroine here discovers she is from a family of “shadow hunters,” half angel, half warriors who run around New York fighting demons and monsters.

Drinking Buddies

Ron Livingston and Olivia Wilde star in this comedy about a bunch of guys working at a Chicago brewery.  It’s nothing amazing, but it’s not bad.

Argo: Extended Edition

This brand new edition of the Best Movie of the Year has all new features and more footage from the film.  Sadly, it is NOT a “Mustache Edition” for Movember, which would have been great with the movie’s liberal use of 70s facial hair.

Anchorman: The Rich Mahogany Edition

Speaking of great 70′s mustaches, this new re-release of the classic comedy is out to get us prepped for the sequel that hits theaters later this month.

Saturn 3

If you want something really weird, this 1980 sci fi movie starring Farrah Fawcett is getting lovingly reissued on an all new DVD/ Blu Ray.
