It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!

Lots of great comedies and some cool new stuff for the kids is coming out this week… Get all the latest home video releases from our resident movie expert, Sam Hatch!

The World’s End

One of Sam’s favorite movies of the year, this twisted comedy comes from the creators of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.  It stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, and it’s a fun and funny action-comedy about a middle aged guy trying to recapture his youth by going on a pub crawl in his hometown, only to discover the town has been taken over by robot doppelgangers!

We’re The Millers

Jason Sudeikis and Jennifer Aniston star in another solid comedy about a pot dealer who has to travel across state lines, so he gets his weird neighbors and Aniston’s Rose (a stripper) to pose as his family.

Planes

If you want something for the kids, this spinoff of Pixar’s Cars universe stars Dane Cook as an air racer.  It’s not the full Pixar quality, but it’s a cute movie that’s good for the little ones.

2 Guns

Looking for something that’s more in the thriller/ action category?  This Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washtington actioner will be for you.  They play two undercover agents trying to take down a cartel, but neither know the other is also an agent.  Things get crazy quickly in this action-packed, compelling story.

Paranoia

Liam Hemsworth stars in this corporate thriller with Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman.  Hemsworth plays a smart, but not savvy tech expert who gets hired to be a spy for Oldman’s CEO, but he gets discovered by rival CEO Ford.

The To-Do List

This comedy stars Parks and Recreation‘s Aubrey Plaza as a school nerd in the 90s, who creates a bucket list before she gets too old.  She gets involved doing naughty things with guys, and the result is a funny, raunchy  coming of age story.
