I’m A Peapod Believer Now

The holidays are fast approaching and life is about to get more hectic. The last thing I want to deal with is long lines at the grocery store. So I decided to give Stop & Shop’s home delivery service, Peapod, a try.

I went to Peapod’s website, created an online account, entered my existing Stop & Shop rewards card number and boom…I was ready to create my first order. The first thing I noticed is NO IMPULSE BUYING! Whoa, you mean I’m gonna save money here???  Yeah, I actually stuck to my grocery list.  The second thing is, well…the selection is a little lacking…but it’s growing all the time and it certainly had everything I wanted and needed. Yes, they take coupons and yes, you can have your order delivered as quickly as you need.  I spent about $200, the service charge was a mere $6 AND I saved $5 for having my order delivered between 11am and 1pm. So when my order arrived today, I was pleasantly surprised. Only two items were missing–out of stock and I wasn’t charged. Also, one item was substituted for another similar item…I was fine with that. You can sign up for email alerts letting you know when your order is next on the delivery route and you can even modify your order up until a pretty tight cut off point.  All in all…easy-peasy!

Made a little video for you to see the ONE THING that caught me off guard….but hey, live and learn.  I’ve learned…why go to the store when the store can come to you?!
