Gadgets, apps and plenty of other shiny things you probably don’t need– Cellular Chloe is here to share the latest and greatest wireless wonders!
We all know phones are good for calling (duh), and texting and browsing email and the internet… but there’s lots more we can do with smart phones, too! Cellular Chloe has more cool things you can do from your phone– Check out the latest features!
1. Garage Door Opener
Instead of carrying around the lame garage door opener, why not use your phone? Newer systems will embed this function automatically, but there’s a work-around from a site called Lifehacker, which lets you connect Bluetooth to your garage door opener. It takes a little rigging, but once it’s in place it’s awesome!
2. TV Remote
It’s a neat feature which cuts down on your unwanted remotes. Some companies feature built-in features like Samsung’s Watch-On, which also offers interactive stuff like suggesting other shows based on what you watch. If you always have your phone with you, why keep around an extra remote? How this works is dependent on your type of TV and type of phone, but punch into the Play Market where you buy your apps and see what your options are.
3. Remote Car Starter
If you’ve got a Hyundai, you can use Blue Link to lock and unlock doors, sound the horn, activate the lights… all that stuff that a remote starter can do. This is a feature you will find on many new cars, so if you’re in the market to buy, ask your dealer what phone functions your new car may include.
4. Google Wallet
This app can be set up for a specific bank account and you can use it for NFC functions (that’s Near Field Communications) to pay for stuff like speed passes or anything that offers a wireless payment method. You can find this at stores like Cumberland Farms, and you can use Google Wallet on any Google or Apple phones, tied to a bank account of your choice.
