Governor Dannel Malloy called in to talk about Election Day with Damon! Take a listen here…
For the first time ever this year, voters in Connecticut can register to vote, on Election Day! Even if someone didn’t register in advance, they can still register today and then place their vote– it’s an exciting new feature especially for new and first-time voters.
To register, you still need to go to your town or city’s City Hall, and you can not only register but cast your vote right there at City Hall! It’s all part of an effort to make voting easier– as important as it is, voting can be a pretty big hassle, and this new system is one way to streamline it and make it easy as possible for all citizens.
Damon has another great idea– investing in I DIDN’T VOTE stickers, to shame people into remembering to vote next time. Even in a municipal election year like this, it’s still important to vote… the elected officials selected this year are the people who will decide how the town or city you live in operates, how streets get plowed and more.
