This Is The End is only the beginning of this week’s new movie releases, and they range from a hilarious comedy to a great animated feature for the whole family and lots more… Check out all the new DVD and Blu Ray releases for this week!

This Is The End

One of the strangest, but also funniest comedies of the year, this stars Jonah Hill, Seth Rogen, jay Baruchel, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson play themselves in Los Angeles when the apocalypse strikes.  It’s super, mega raunchy– you probably don’t even want the kids to be on the same floor while it’s on– but take a peek at it if you’re into the Judd Apatow comedies.

The Croods

This animated comedy features Nicolas Cage as a cave man who has to leave his home when an earthquake destroys it.  It’s a fun, well done animated flicks from the guy who made Disney’s Lilo and Stitch.

The Frozen Ground

Speaking of Nic Cage, he shows up in this underground thriller, also starring John Cusack as a serial killer.  He’s been killing for 13 years, and when one of his victims escapes, so Cage’s character might be able to solve the crime and catch him.

Dead Before Dawn

This horror movie is about a group of college kids who unleash a curse that turns everybody into zombie demons (AKA “Zemons”).  It’s a scary movie with lots of dark comedy, too, and it features Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future.

Cold War

A Hong Kong action film with the cops going up against a crew of super smart hackers/ hijackers.

The Little Mermaid Diamond Edition

The Disney classic is back out of the vault with a brand new edition, so get it now before it’s “gone FOREVER.”

The Wizard of Oz 75th Anniversary Edition

The classic gets a huge collector’s edition– five discs, Blu Ray, 3D and all kinds of features.

The Amityville Horror Trilogy

The original three Amityville movies get the hi def treatment in this new box set.  It’s the classic movies from the 70s… not the remake.  So you can enjoy some classic scares and marvel at James Brolin’s cool beard!
