If you’re looking for love, then listen up– Jaimy Blazynski, the Date Doctor is here!

It’s September, and that means the kids are going back to school and many parents are experiencing the empty nest syndrome.  But Jaimy has some tips on how to keep things happy and exciting in your marriage.

For the wives…

1.  Avoid the “Honey-Do” List

Unless your husband is super-disorganized and wants you to write down a list, giving him a list of chores can be emasculating.  If you ask your husband to do something and he doesn’t, he probably has a reason.

2.  Don’t Be a “Helicopter Wife”

Don’t hover over your guy– it can get really annoying.  Let him be a guy and trust that he can take care of things, without nagging him all the time.

For the husbands…

1.  Don’t Coddle, but Don’t Fight

Sometimes women have a tendency to get a little crazy, and it’s up to you to find the balance between over-coddling and giving us a  hard time.  Try to nicely say that you’re going to walk away until your wife is ready to communicate.  And when she comes back, don’t remind her how bad it got– ladies already remember that.

2.  Don’t Torture Us Over Mistakes

Women, wives, mothers– we often make really stupid mistakes, because we’ve got so much on our minds.  When we make a mistake, don’t make it worse!  Don’t torture us with it, laugh about it– we know we made the mistake– and let us get over it.
