It’s the movie freak and the movie geek– Find out what to buy, what to rent and what to AVOID AT ALL COSTS as Damon talks to local movie reviewer extraordinaire, Sam Hatch from Culture Dogs about this week’s new DVD and Blu Ray releases!
There’s lots of cool movies coming to DVD, Blu Ray, On Demand and more this week, with something for everyone from the gripping action of Olympus Has Fallen to funny stuff like The Big Wedding… get an inside look at all this week’s releases, right here!
Olympus Has Fallen
Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman star in this movie– one of two with the same premise– in which bad guys take over the White House. It’s up to the kick ass-ery of Gerard Butler to save the say.
The Big Wedding
If you’re up for something funnier, this one features Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton and Robin Williams, and tells the story of a divorced couple going to a wedding. They have to pretend they’re still together and all sorts of hijinks ensue.
The Company You Keep
Robert Redford stars and directs this one, about a young reporter that looks up to an elder co-worker, only to discover he was a radical back in the day, and may have blown a bunch of people up.
Tommy Lee Jones plays General Douglas MacArthur, after the surrender of Japan in WWII. It’s the story of trying to figure out how to rule the defeated nation, and whether the Emperor should be punished or saved.
The Muppet Movie
No, you didn’t miss a new Muppets movie… this is the 35th Anniversary edition of the classic first big screen appearance of Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and their crazy cohorts!
Nope, it’s not the same as the dirty movie Damon already has a copy of (ew)– this one is about a volcano lying dormant under Yellowstone Park… but it’s not dormant for long.
Check out one of these releases this week… or if you’re in the mood to hit the movie theater, go see Pacific Rim (out now) or The Conjuring (out Friday)… both those flicks are a GREAT TIME!! For more from Sam Hatch, check out CultureDogs.org!
