Two stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey were indicted on fraud charges, according to reports from CBS News.
Teresa Giudice and her husband Giuseppe “Joe” Giudice face charges stemming from allegations of exaggerating their income while applying for loans before the debut of their reality show in 2009. The reports says they then tried to hide their improving finances in a bankruptcy filing after the first season of Housewives.
The pair have been charged in a 39-count indictment that includes bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud.
While Joe has yet to comment on the situation, but Teresa did release a statement.
“I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career,” she said.
It wasn’t long ago I hosted Giudice for a special “Reality Check” at Mohegan Sun. As you can see, she was all smiles back then!
