It’s summertime, and as much as we all want to soak up some sun, it’s important to maintain skincare at the same time. Debbie has some all-natural tips to keep your skin looking great all summer!
A lot of women do suffer from acne in the summertime, after they’re in the sun or when they finish a workout, due to the heat and the oils. But there’s a great natural remedy to cleanse the skin– mix a solution of lemon juice, plain yogurt and honey. Mix it up, apply to the skin, massage it in for 2-3 minutes, then wash it off. It leaves your skin really soft, smooth, moist and clean.
Another great product you can apply to the skin. Rosewater helps to tone the skin and tighten the pores… and it smells great, too!
Prickly heat remedy
A lot of people will get little bumps on their skin from too much time in the sun, but to take care of this, you can mix some cornflower and water into a paste. Put it on any skin you want to treat and leave it for about 10 minutes, then get into a nice bath. That will help to alleviate all the little bumps you may get from the sun and the heat.
It’s important to keep hydrated whether you’re doing something strenuous or not– drink 8 to 10 glasses of water a day. This will keep you and your skin hydrated. But you can also add some fresh lemon, which will also help detoxify the impurities in your system.
