A lot goes in to making a station video promoting Six Flags New England’s new Bonzai Pipelines… Take a look at these outtakes from Damon Scott’s latest masterpiece!
Last week was Media Day at Six Flags New England, where Damon and intrepid 96.5 TIC street teamer Cory took on the theme park’s latest thrilling challenge– the Bonzai Pipelines. Their adventure was documented in this video, but as is usually the case, there was tons of footage left on the cutting room floor. Like, seriously… we filmed this over the span of two months, with another half year in post production, likeness rights from George Lucas, special effects and everything (the Six Flags Media Day actually took place in 2009, to be honest).
So now, here we are– it’s 2013, and the Bonzai Pipelines are finally open, ready to thrill park-goers all season long! And in the long, strange trip since principal photography of the Six Flags New England Media Day visit, lots of things have changed. We all remember Damon’s unsuccessful run for President in 2010 (he had the year wrong), and Cory is on his way to being a total rock star, with his solo, acoustic Plain White T’s cover band (the “Plain White Me’s”)… We’d almost forgotten about everything else that took place on that fateful day at Six Flags New England, until now!
From Hairy Back Alerts, to unexplained flat tires for the competition, to our own Money Mike blatantly cheating on his diet, to a look at the camera that filmed Cory’s reaction to the Bonzai Pipelines… this video gives you the perfect look behind the scenes at the making of the greatest Six Flags New England Bonzai Pipelines promotional video of all time.
