A lot of women get frustrated that they can’t find a pair of jeans off the rack that fit them perfectly. But Debbie Wright has discovered some certain brands that cater to different body types. Keep in mind– when buying jeans, you want to fit your widest body part first!
If you have wide hips… Debbie recommends a Levi’s jean, called Levi’s Curve. These jeans are designed for a curvier shape, so the waist is tapered in.
If you have full thighs… You might look into a roomier leg for your jeans. Eddie Bauer makes a great jean that will fit and flatter, with a very nice fit for your thighs, and they’ll only run you about $60.
If you have a “full rear view”… Look into a super stretchy fabric, but one that’s not too tight. Old Navy has a great fitted jean perfect for those with a nice-sized derriere, and these jeans– the Rockstar– clock in just under $30 per pair.
If you have a little tummy… Not Your Daughters Jeans and LL Bean are great brands, because they offer comfort knit jeans that have tummy control built into the jeans. This gives you a little support, looks good and stylish but also makes sure you’re comfortable and confident.
If you’re on a tight budget… Stores like Old Navy and The Gap have jeans for great prices, and Liz Claiborne makes a nice, flattering jean available at JC Penny for just $27. And, of course, never underestimate the power of a good second hand store!
