Just a week after the release of their latest album, Bankrupt!, Phoenix is taking the stage for a special Live On Letterman performance.
But for tonight’s (April 30) broadcast, which will air live right here on Radio.com at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, the band won’t be playing historic Ed Sullivan Theater. The show will instead move from its usual home in Letterman’s television studio to The Hudson Theater near New York City’s Times Square. The refurbished Broadway theater seats a mere 700 people, considerably smaller than Coachella, where the Frenchmen headlined to an audience north of 70,000.
Fans can expect a night filled with past hits from Phoenix’s previous four albums, including their 2009 breakthrough record, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, along with new songs from Bankrupt!.
