Andy Grammer & 96.5 TIC: We Go Way Back
Andy Grammer has had a whirlwind of success over the past two years, going from a street performer in Los Angeles to a nationally-touring artist. We’ve been following Andy each step of the way, and as a way to celebrate his return to the World Famous Acoustic Cafe on Monday 8th, we’re counting down our Top 5 favorite Andy team-ups, from right here in Hartford.
5. 96.5 TIC’s All-Star Christmas
Andy was one of the performers at the 2012 All-Star Christmas! Sharing the stage with Train and Phillip Phillips, Andy helped ring in the Holidays last year at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford.
4. Andy’s First Acoustic Cafe
We welcomed Andy to Hartford in the Fall of 2011, before his debut album was even released! Andy performed a fantastic Acoustic Cafe at the then-newly opened Russian Lady, and it was a great night!
3. Andy At the WRCH Nite of Lite Laughter Pre-Party
The same night of his first Acoustic Cafe, Andy was cool enough to put on TWO shows, as he performed during the pre-party for our sister station WRCH’s Nite of Lite Laughter in November 2011.
2. Andy Chats with Damon Scott
While he was in town for All-Star Christmas, Andy sat down with Damon Scott to talk about his roots and lots more! As always, Andy proved himself a smart and humble guy, and this interview will make you fall in love with his charm.
1. Last.fm Spotlights Andy Grammer
Our friends over at Last.fm hosted Andy for another exclusive interview back in 2011. Check out Andy talking about his biggest hit song, the interactive video that helped put him on the map, and more!
We’re very excited to once again welcome Andy to the Acoustic Cafe stage next Monday April 8th… Keep tuned in to 96.5 TIC all this week to find out how YOU can win tickets and join us for the exclusive acoustic show!!
