Mark Cuban Talks ‘Shark Tank’ Backstage At The GRAMMYs
Damon and Gina were backstage in the radio room at the 55th annual GRAMMY Awards in Los Angeles. While they were there, they met up with Dallas Mavericks owner, and star of the show Shark Tank, Mark Cuban.
Cuban currently has a net worth of $2.3 billion, but he told Damon that getting to this point wasn’t easy– It’s been a long road from his humble beginnings, growing up in a one bathroom home the suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA.
“I remember being twenty-seven years old and looking at my ATM balance, there was nothing,” Cuban recalled. “I know what it is like to have to bust your ass, and to struggle, and to have nothing.”
Mark Cuban’s participation as an investor on the show Shark Tank is his way of giving back to others, and helping them accomplish their own dreams.
“All those things that happened to me, there is somebody else out there that it can happen to [as well],” he explained. “If I can help somebody get there, why wouldn’t I?”
Cuban acknowledged that he is the luckiest guy in the word, but he wasn’t afraid to admit something else:
“I got the world’s biggest head,” he joked. “I can’t find a hat. I wear a size eight and ¾… It’s ridiculous.”
The trait apparently runs in the Cuban family.
“I have a son that is three,” he continued. “Can’t find a bike helmet… Nothing.”
