DJ Pauly D and Jay Sean sat down with Damon and Gina backstage at the GRAMMYs over the weekend. The two talked about future projects and their new single, “Back to Love,” just in time for Valentine’s Day.
“It’s very early at radio, and that is the fun part for us, watching it grow and watching it build,” said Jay Sean on his collabo with DJ Pauly D. The British singer-songwriter mentioned that the two met each other at various events, and decision to collaborate was purely mutual.
“When me and Pauly got together it was just like, ‘Come on man, let’s just do some good music,’” he explained. “I have never been involved with record companies or management (for collaborations). I just don’t feel like that is genuine, I don’t feel like it is organic, I don’t feel like you are generally in to it.”
“Back to Love” is available everywhere now, and it will also be featured on Pauly D’s upcoming album. “I am just gonna take my time with it, I want it to be right, and I just want to put out good music,” said Pauly D, noting that much of the album is still in the works. “I still have a lot of other features I am trying to lock down. It’s still the early stages, but I am happy to release the first single.”
Adjusting to life after the Jersey Shore, Pauly D mentioned that he hopes to be back on television soon.
“There are a lot of offers that come to the table now that Jersey Shore is over, so I am just trying to see what’s the right one for me,” he noted. “I do definitely want to be back on TV… I miss the camera.”
