Break out the cheese and crackers, your favorite artists like Fergie, Train and Dave Matthews have the perfect wine for you to drink this holiday season.

The best part is, our list doesn’t just include wines that bear an artist’s name, no, no, these musicians actually had some creative control over the product they’re putting out.

So here are a few wines we believe you might want to purchase for your upcoming holiday party or perhaps give as a last minute gift to the wine-drinking music fan in your life.

*Note to all Josh Groban fans out there, you will unfortunately have to wait until next year to taste his wine.

The bandleader has advised you don’t drink the water, but we’re thinking it’s so you’ll have more of his Dreaming Tree wine. Dave teamed up with winemaker Steve Reeder for a line of wines made in Virgina. The $15 red wine called Crush, in honor of his band’s song off his 1998 album, Before These Crowded Streets, features notes of “smoky berry and a pop of raspberry jam.” With 100% recycled paper labels and natural corks from sustainable farms this wine also doesn’t put a strain on the environment. We wouldn’t expect any less from Dave.

Always wanted to know what “Drops of Jupiter” taste like? Now you can find out with the band’s Save Me, San Francisco “fruit forward” red wine that has a strong boysenberry flavor. Not what you were expecting? Try their Chardonnay, named Calling All Angels after their 2003 song. Or maybe their California 37 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is flavored with ripe cherries and blackberries and reminds them of the cabs they used to ride in when they were a poor band just starting out. Pair it with their line of chocolate from Ghiradelli with flavors like sea salt almond and dark cabernet, which is a dark chocolate combined with blackberry.

How About A Musician With Your WineFergie

From working on her shoe line, Fergie Footwear, to a line of makeup with Wet n Wild, Fergie has been keeping herself busy. The thing she seems most proud of this year though is her father’s wine, which bears the name Ferguson Crest. The singer, who was born Stacey Ferguson, tweeted her excitement over the winery’s tasty, tasty new red wine appropriately called Fergalicious back in September. It’s the winery’s first release of a red wine, one that is a mix of “Cabernet sauvignon, syrah, Grenache and merlot.” The complex mix sells for $35 a bottle.

Hootie is hawking wine for a good cause. The country star has teamed up with OneHope for a 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet that will see half of the proceeds from every bottle sold go to Pattison’s Academy, which provides education and rehab programs for children with multiple disabilities. The ruby wine tastes like a combination of dark berries and crème brulee. But nothing tastes better than helping a good cause.

His Tuscan vineyard, Tenuta il Palagio, not only has wine but offers olive oil and honey for the mega fans. Their most recent addition to the cellar is When We Dance, a 2010 Chianti named after Sting’s song from 1994. The singer recommends you pair the sweet smelling wine, featuring notes of cherry and iris, with traditional Tuscan recipes. Sounds delicious.
