For One Direction, 2012 will be remembered as a whirlwind year. From chart-topping hits to appearances and sold-out concert performances, the boys are on fire. This week’s global fan event in New York only added to their steady ascension as they took time to meet their devoted fans from around the world.
The “Bring Me To 1D” campaign began as a summer competition in which fans competed for a chance to win a “Go1Den” ticket by participating in various challenges. On the band’s Website an interactive map displayed locations of various winners as each ticket was discovered. Fans were turned into winners from over 40 countries and as far away as Costa Rica and the Philippines.
Yesterday during the One Direction love fest fans of the band and the band themselves used their 140 characters and the hashtag “#BM21DLive” to post pictures and write of their excitement and joy in meeting the band. Here’s what went down:
Having a great time meeting fans here at bring me to 1D event! Wish we could see u all! Love you #BM1DLIVE
