From her hometown of Pristina, Kosovo, Rita Ora brings the world her new video for “Shine Ya Light.” Opening at a concert for her kinsmen and spread over five locations, the video puts Ora on the back of a motorcycle, in the streets surrounded by children, at a huge concert, on top of a skyscraper and in an empty stadium.
Almost as big a star as Kosovo in the video is Ora’s fashion. In a shot that almost looks like green screen, where the city is spread out behind her, Ora wears a sexy black bikini top, topped with a chocolate brown puffy jacket whose hood is lined with fur trim. She accessorizes with gold chains and a kerchief in the style of the Kosovo flag. Topped, of course, with her trademark red lips.
Later we see Ora take to the streets to walk her dog. Like a pied piper she encourages a group of young kids to join her — and it quickly turns into a mob scene with practically the entire neighborhood trailing her.
Then we get Ora on the back of a motorcycle in a shirtdress and thigh high, jet black boots that display a trademark Louboutin red bottom when she dances. The outfit is complimetned by a sleeveless, extra long black leather motorcycle jacket.
Finally we get Ora performing to a huge crowd of Kosovo fans, playing both the star and the DJ. When she appears with headphones, we get our first glimpse of her with slicked back hair — much different than her typical curly blonde locks. While she performs on top of a pack of letters spelling NEWBORN, she rocks a pair of acid washed overalls, looking for all the world like TLC in the early ’90s.
