The night before, pop superstar Taylor Swift was performing her smash hit “We Are Never Getting Back Together” on the MTV VMA Awards, and free-falling into the waiting arms of her fans.
On Friday night though, Taylor Swift took to a chair and sang her heart out to her brand new ballad “Ronan,” on CBS’ Stand Up To Cancer.
Swift wrote the song about the four-year old boy after reading a blog Ronan’s mother had written detailing her son’s four years of hospitalization and cancer treatments. “You were my best four years,” Swift croons.
Caution – this song is definitely a tear jerker. To donate to Stand Up To Cancer, please call 1.888.907.8263.
