Gabby Douglas has officially made her mark on the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Many watched as the young athlete won the gold during the All-Around competition in women’s gymnastics. What would you do after you brought home the gold for U.S.A.? Google yourself of course.
After several interviews and thousands of photographs the sixteen year old decided to search for herself on Google.com. Gabby was more than thrilled when she saw articles talking about her making history and being an Olympic champion. Aside from populating major search engines, Douglas also received posts from celebrities like Beyonce and Taylor Swift on social media sites. The most amazing part of all the hype was when President Barack Obama called her personally to congratulate and invite her to the White House.
Its safe to say that Gabby Douglas not only made history, but also won the hearts of many Americans who watched her incredible performance during the 2012 Summer Olympics.
