‘Glee’ Sings Kelly Clarkson To Broadway In New Episode
From disco to Whitney Houston, Glee has been all about the themed episodes lately. But the kids at McKinley High are mixing things up this week by taking on a range of songs covering rock, pop and Broadway standards.
School’s (almost) out for summer, but Puck (Mark Salling) might be staying a bit longer than expected. As he struggles to graduate, the other guys try to help him by rocking out to the music of My Fair Lady. The girls, on the other hand, are stripping down Florence and the Machine’s “Shake it Out” and doing their own version of “Cell Block Tango” from Chicago. While Kurt (Chris Colfer) breaks out the gold lamé for “Not the Boy Next Door” from the Hugh Jackman musical, The Boy From Oz.
Puck is just trying to finish high school, but Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt are trying to make it in New York. The two go for their New York Academy of Dramatic Arts audition with Rachel belting out Kelly Clarkson’s “Cry.” Is this a sign of what happens after her try-out? We’ll have to wait and see.
Check out two sneak peeks of tonight’s episode and Puck’s version of the Alice Cooper classic, “School’s Out” below.
