Universal Studios has a little bit to be concerned about regarding their next blockbuster movie being released “Battleship.” Seems like they have caught a production company that has created a knockoff movie similar to Battleship called “American Battleship.”
Looks like Universal has caught a production company called The Asylum. The Asylum is a low budget movie company that usually creates movies straight to DVD and seem to knock off alot of the Blockbuster hit moves. For example, The Titanic 2, The Transmorphers, The Terminators and many more.
Universal has spent almost $150 million on producing the movie and promoting it, in the USA alone! And as The Asylum has done with many other movies, they are trying to promote and get the credit for all the hard work Universal has done and put together. The movie “American Battleship” is even scheduled to be released on may 22nd, 4 days after the official release of “Battleship.”
