50 Cent connected with Joan Rivers, the queen of yucks and red carpets, to add a few laughs to his latest Street King (SK) energy drink commercial.
“I tried to put together the Odd Team not the A-Team,” he told Access Hollywood. “The most odd group of people you would be surprised to see together in one clip, and it would happen fast. It will definitely hit different targeted audiences.”
In the teaser, Rivers is in the gym wearing what 50 calls “athletic-inspired Diva wear,” which includes a chinchilla coat.
“The premise of the commercial is, I have no energy and I drink the drink and I’m ready to have fun,” Rivers said.
Last year, 50 Cent announced that he would be donating a portion of the proceeds from the sale of his SK energy drink to help buy meals for children in Africa. He said he wanted to serve 50 billion meals over the course of five years.
While he has focused on his philanthropic endeavors with SK, 50 has not forgotten about music. He announced yesterday (March 28) via Twitter that he will be releasing a mixtape with before his next album is released.
“I’m dropping another mix tape called the lost tape with DJ drama My first gangsta grillz mix tape,” he tweeted.
50 Cent has also said that he plans on releasing another studio album this year and he vowed that it would be better than his multi-platinum debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
