Justin Bieber talked about his new single, “Boyfriend,” and his new, mature sound with 92.3 NOW/New York and admitted that he and his team are “trying to make something new and fun and creative but still keep [his] main fan base and also be able to grow an audience.”
In the new single, the line “Falsetto in 3… 2…” may stir up memories of another hugely popular singer who loves a good falsetto and has the same name: Justin Timberlake. It’s is a bit of a soft spot for Bieber. He disagrees, saying “I don’t think it sounds like Justin Timberlake. I think you think because you hear falsetto that what you think about is Justin [Timberlake]. I get it.”
And a topic that Justin can never escape came up: relationships. With a new album coming out and touring certainly on the schedule, we find out what it’s like to be in a relationship when you’re as busy as Justin. He said that “at the end of the day, you have to make sacrifices.” You could only assume that he gets his sense of doing for others and making things work against all odds from his mom, Pattie Mallette.
Pattie, a single mom who always put her son first, is gearing up to release a memoir titled Nowhere But Up: The Story of Justin Bieber’s Mom. As we all know, boys are supposed to be protective of their mothers. “It’s instinct,” as Justin put it. But if Pattie ever goes out on dates, is it hard for Justin to keep guard on her and make sure guys respect her the way they should?
“My mom doesn’t really go out that often,” said Justin. “[But] I don’t think I’ll ever really approve.”
