No magic spells can help him now.
According to the New York Daily News, british actor Jamie Waylett has been sentenced to two years in prison for taking part in the London riots last August.
He is best known for playing Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movie series, a friend of Draco Malfoy (played by Tom Felton).
Waylett, 22, was found guilty of violent disorder for his involvement with the riots. He was cleared of charges alleging he intended to do harm with a firebomb he had in his possession at the time he was caught.
“You chose to go out on to the streets on what was the third day of the violence,” the judge told the actor, according to Reuters. “You were pictured on a number of occasions with a bottle full of petrol with a rag as a wick.
“I accept … that you did not throw or have any intention of throwing it, but merely being in possession of it would have been terrifying to anyone who saw you.”
Waylett has had run-ins with the law before. In 2009, he was arrested for having $2,900 worth of marijuana in his British home.
