Adele wasn’t happy Tuesday night at the Brit Awards, even after taking home two prestigious awards in London.
The “Rolling in the Deep” singer took the stage after winning her second award of the night and said, “Nothing beats coming home with six Grammys and then coming to the Brits and winning Album of the Year.”
However, shortly into her award speech host James Corden took the stage where Adele replied, “Are you about to cut me off? Can I just say then, goodbye and I’ll see you next time round?” She then proceeded to flash Corden the middle finger, according to Billboard Magazine .
She issued an apology after, saying “I was about to thank the British public for their support,” she explained. “They cut me off, sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me.”
This gesture comes just a few weeks after R&B MC M.I.A. flashed her middle finger during the Superbowl halftime act alongside Madonna.
After the Grammy awards, Adele’s 21 went on to sell 730,000 additional albums.
