Justin Timberlake took home two awards at the Creative Arts Emmys last week.  The singer/actor won for Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for hosting Saturday Night Live and another for co-writing his opening SNL monologue song, loosely titled “Not Gonna Sing.”

So this begs the question: When will we see more music from Justin Timberlake?

In a recent interview with British magazine ShortList, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Justin Timberlake[/lastfm] said that music is his “bread and butter” and that he doesn’t ever want to stop making it.

“I have nothing on my plate for the rest of the year. I’m getting sick of me. I realize that I’m in a really lucky place because, to be honest, I don’t think I’m that good. I just want to make the right choices. You get to a certain age where you don’t feel the need to be validated by your choices in your career. I want to be validated more by choices in my personal life.”

Over the last year and a half Timberlake has been focusing on movies with roles in The Social Network, Bad Teacher and Friends With Benefits.  He describes his roles as “opportunities that came up” and that he probably would have had another album out if it wasn’t for all the good film roles that came his way. (No, you’re totally right, JT. Bad Teacher was definitely a better idea than another album…)

There is currently no word on when Justin Timberlake will release another album, but if it truly is his “bread and butter” we should expect to see it soon.
