Gavin DeGraw was viciously attacked late Sunday night by multiple assailants for reasons unknown. If that isn’t terrible enough, TMZ is now reporting a dazed and injured DeGraw was struck by a cab after the assault!

An onlooker called 911 immediately upon seeing the cab hit Gavin, and he was taken immediately to Bellevue Hospital.  Presently DeGraw is being treated for serious injuries, including a concussion, a broken nose and some severe cuts and bruises.  Due to this terrible turn of events, Gavin has had to step down from his tour dates with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Train[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Maroon 5[/lastfm].  In his place for the remainder of the tour is [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Nikki Jean[/lastfm].

Gavin is a great guy and a talented musician– this attack Sunday night was as illogical as it was terrible, there’s just no reason for it to have happened.  Everyone here at 965 TIC sends our thoughts to Gavin for a speedy recovery…
