Adam Levine of Maroon 5 To Star In New NBC Show

The Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has been selected to produce a new comedy show on NBC, and it’s not a ‘Voice’ spin-off.

According to Deadline.com, the still-untitled show will be a single-camera comedy set at a karaoke bar and will involve elements of both comedy and music.

The 20th Century Fox TV and Chernin Entertainment-produced show features Jake Kasdan as a director and executive producer alongside Levine.

At least three networks eyed the project, but NBC bid hard to win the show largely due to its involvement with Levine, who already stars on The Voice for the network.
