The 65th Annual Tony Awards presentation was a star-studded affair, with just as many nominees and attendees known for their work on film as those who are known for theatre.
But it was a couple of guys we know best from their work on TV’s South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, that stole the night with their hit musical The Book of Mormon bringing home 9 Tonys and the award for Best Musical. The revival of The Normal Heart, the acclaimed AIDs drama, also scored big, picking up 3 Tonys and the award for Best Revival of a Play.
Check out all the winners below and get the latest coverage from our CBS team in New York City.
The acclaimed revival of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Cole Porter[/lastfm]‘s classic musical Anything Goes also fared well tonight, nabbing the award for Best Revival of a Musical and honoring Sutton Foster with the award for Leading Actress in a Musical.
