Soft-spoken & soulful [lastfm]Ray LaMontagne[/lastfm] will truck on over to Chicago’s lakefront for the 3-Day Dave Matthews Band Caravan this summer. But before that, the GRAMMY winner will take the stage for a live streaming concert Live on Letterman from the The Ed Sullivan Theater.

Ray stopped by with The Pariah Dogs at our friends in Chicago’s station for some quiet conversation and to play a couple songs from his new album, God Willin’ And The Creek Don’t Rise. Listen to the full studio visit recorded last fall.

Ray LaMontagne Live From Studio X

Released in the fall, LaMontagne’s fourth full-length album was a something of a step in a new direction: instead of working with producer Ethan Johns, Ray and the Pariah Dogs self-produced and recorded the album live, and in only five days at his home in Massachusetts.

Visit Live on Letterman for more updates info on this ongoing series. Oh, and if you missed Foo Fighters‘ 2-hour live set, check it out here.
