Are you as excited for the Royal Wedding on Friday as we are? While it’s been hyped up as the “event of the decade,” we are more excited to hear and see the little details. Who will design Kate Middleton’s dress? What kind of cake will they have? What will they say to each other during the always-hard-to-write nuptials?

In case Prince William or Kate Middleton get writer’s block, we’ve found Ten Songs With The Name “Kate” or “William” in Them that they can use in a pinch if they run out of words to express their love.

Some are completely romantic, others a little melancholy, but all of them can be easily altered to befit a Royal Marriage.

10. “William Pierce”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Arcade Fire[/lastfm]

An obscure Arcade Fire song, “William Pierce” is a song about a young man (and brother) named William. The song is an apology from his brother and how their love is an undying, unconditional love.

William now we’re grown, living far from home/Don’t lose your light in a crowd, shining without a doubt/For all the world, for all the world and me to see

We are sure Prince Harry feels the exact same way, albeit with a lot less apologies. But, you never know.

9.  “Hey Katie”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Josh Kelley[/lastfm]

A melodic love song, the lyrics of Josh Kelley’s song “Hey Katie” would be perfect translated into nuptials. Prince William wouldn’t even have to add anything:

Hey Katie/You really look great tonight/I think about you all the time/Your color up my life/Just maybe (maybe)/You’ll let me take you home tonight/I’ve gotta have you by my side/To wake up with the sunrise

8. “Mrs William”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bonnie Prince Billy[/lastfm]

Kate Middleton will soon be one of the most coveted women in the world–Mrs. William. Bonnie Prince Billy wrote a song about a beautiful woman who is married to a William–a woman he desires.

Mrs William, where is William?/where has William gone?/you know you shouldn’t/come into a place like this alone/now/if you’d like to sit here/at my table ill abide/but it isn’t usually my thing/to do another’s bride

The lyrics could easily be converted into “it isn’t usually my thing, but I want you for my bride” or something equally romantic.

7. “Sister Kate”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Ditty Bops[/lastfm]

This quirky little song by the Ditty Bops talks about a girl named Kate who could impress all the boys with her “shimmy” skills.

Now all the boys in the neighborhood/Knew Katie could shimmy and it’s mighty good/Well I may be late but I’ll be up to date/When I can shimmy like my sister Kate

We’re not sure Kate Middleton has any fabulous dance tricks, but she sure did impress Prince William with something.

6. “William Powers”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Macabees[/lastfm]

Another pretty, if slightly melancholy love song, The Macabees song, “William Powers,” talks about maturing enough to really fall in love completely and “forsaking all others”:

There is love/There is lust/There is love fuelled lust/Little thing called trust/Which I must not break, for you/Forsaking all others but you

Considering the length of their courtship, Prince William and Kate Middleton have had enough time to grow up and enter into a real trust-fueled, adult relationship.

5. “Kate”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ben Folds[/lastfm]

There seems to be a lot of songs about wanting to be exactly like a girl named Kate and Ben Folds Five’s song, “Kate,” is no exception:

She’s everything I want, She’s everything I’m not/Have you got nothing to say/She never gets wet/She smiles and it’s a rainbow/And she speaks and she breathes/I wanna be Kate

4.  “William McGovern”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wheatus[/lastfm]

If you don’t remember Wheatus, they are the band that put out the one-hit wonder, “Teenage Dirtbag.” With “William McGovern,” they tell the story of a man named William who lives “undercover” and is a little like the “lesser” singer:

This is the story about William McGovern/He lives undercover/Come rise/Come fall/He doesn’t know it yet I feel the pain he gets/and we never speak cause he’d run away/Man, I think he’s a little like me

3. “Katherine”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kill Hannah[/lastfm]

Although the tune is a little eerie, some of the lyrics of Kill Hannah’s “Katherine” are a sweet tale of a pretty girl that’s a little crazy, but totally worth it:

She said kiss me/you got the sweetest smile/you got the sweetest smile/I’m gonna turn you on/Katherine, Katherine, Katherine

2. “William It Was Really Nothing”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Smiths[/lastfm]

Probably one of the most famous songs with the name “William” in it, The Smith’s “William It Was Really Nothing” not only evokes the rainy, busy streets of London sonically, it also talks about marriage:

She doesn’t care about anything/Would you like to marry me?/And if you like you can buy the ring/I don’t dream about anyone – except myself!/Oh, William, William it was really nothing

Plus, Morrissey takes his shirt off in the video and his chest says “Marry me.” Wouldn’t that be awesome if Prince William ripped off his suit and had his nuptials written on his chest?

1. “Katherine Kiss Me”-[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Franz Ferdinanad[/lastfm]

A gorgeous little acoustic song about meeting a girl named Katherine in a bar and instantly falling in love with her, the song starts with the request for a kiss:

Katherine kiss me/Slippy little lips will split me/Split me where your eye won’t hit me /Yes, I love you/I mean, I- I’d love to get to know you

Which is a perfect way for the groom to finally kiss his bride!
