Early Unreleased U2 To Appear In New Film

The upcoming film “Killing Bono” and it’s soundtrack will feature an early [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]U2[/lastfm] song called “Street Mission”. The track features Bono, the Edge, Larry Mullen, Adam Clayton and the Edge’s brother Dik Evans in 1977 while still playing under the moniker The Hype. In the film actors portraying the young Dublin band will perform the song live.
“Killing Bono” is a semi-autobiographical tale that follows the Neil & Ivan McCormick who were contemporary musical rivals of Bono and the boys. Neil and Ivan head off to London to achieve rock stardom but are plagued by failure while U2’s star continues to rise. The movie is based on Neil McCormick’s memoir “I was Bono’s Doppelganger” but no release date has been set for the US.
